Recently IRIS Software Platform has been deployed at Instituto Tecnológico de la Energía(Valencia, Spain), where will be vailable to be used in the Interoperabiliy Lab for smart devices of this institute. Our company colaborates with ITE since two years ago in the scope of Walkiria project for the smart charging of EV (electric vehicles).

Recently has been completed the deployment of IRIS Software Platform at Eléctrica de MOSCOSO S.L., a galician utility company (Spain).
With this new IRIS customer that from now on will benefit from important savings provided by IRIS within the operation of its metering infraestrcuture, is importan to point out the integration developed with EMOSCOSO billing software. Actually, this is one of the important features of IRIS: its abiliity as a platforma to export all information that manages in any format (xml, csv, etc.) and the ability to report it by any way (ftp, shared drives, web services invocations, etc.)

Telecontrol STM metering team has recently completed all installation and configuration tasks for the deployment of IRIS Software Platform for the important utility EPRESA, located at south of Spain. This is a successfully case study due the cloud hybrid solution deployed and the architecture of the deployment adopted.
This project, aside all security mechanisms (both internal and external) provided by IRIS, has been reinforced with the configuration of an VPN (virtual private network) between IRIS instance deployed in the cloud with Microsoft Azure and the private and local network of EPRESA. A connection site-to-site has been established from end to end: from IRIS software platform and the data concentrators. This hybrid solution is the best one from a security and reliable perspective and the first metering project in all Europe with this safe and secured architecture.

With IRIS 0.7.4, official release of IRIS Software Platform and MDM for PRIME devices launched in july 2014, a new and important feature has been included although it was present partially in previous versions. In this new revision of the platform, the feature is fully functional and supported.

Recently we have started up the load profiles in a referenced customer. The obtaining of these values, which are required since June 1, multiplies by 24 the habitual amount of measures from one deploy of smart meters.

The generation of hourly values (load profile) in PRIME gateways is a challenge for each deployment done with this technology. The impact in the performance of these devices is not easy to assimilate: from the obtaining a daily billing in the best of cases to the obtaining of a number multiple by 24 per meter and day.

The company Electra Castillejense, situated in Villanueva de los Castillejos, Huelva, just purchased telemanagement and MDM Iris platform in a pay per use mode.
With this platform, this utility will begin to reduce greatly the operation costs with their electronic meters and gateways of data which had been deployed since a long time.
