One of the main problems of the analog devices is their relative ease of handling system; with consequent weakness when falsifying their readings.
Certainly the appearance of digital devices changes this situation radically due to the control over these devices in a telematic way, that is, at the distance. The continuous measurement of these meters makes it possible to detect patterns in consumption and thus, to detect possible changes that can be suspicious.

The first Business Entrepreneurship Congress of Andalucía, held on 14 and 15 November 2013, has awarded to Telecontrol STM the third prize for best Business Entrepreneurship project under the concept of "Technological Innovations in TeleManagement of PRIME Meter Devices" by its Management Platform and MDM IRIS.

Recently, geolocalization data of the meters of a revelant customer has been updated within IRIS Metering Platform; in this case, IRIS is deployed in the cloud (with Azure of Microsoft).
Among other things, IRIS 0.7 provides a number of functionalities to detect smartly where PLC (power line communication) problems come up, in a very easy way.
With IRIS 0.7, the user can visually detect those meters with problems from a real map of the area, not just its phisical location but its PLC status as well.

IRIS Platform for PRIME devices, has many capacities of integration in order to meet needs of customer.
Each utility has own ways to work, own specific needs. For that, is a challenge for either Management Platform develop a mechanism to adapt them and offers the basic needs too.

Iris Platform has been updated to its newer version in the utility Grupo Cuerva, from Granada (Spain). This deployment has been performed using exclusively the cloud computing services from Microsoft, called Azure. The system's performance is truly remarkable.

Telecontrol STM integrates on his IRIS Software Platform the data concentrator technology PLC800 from CIRCUTOR. This data concentrator is able to manage remotely CIRWATT smart meters from the same manufacturer.
