Release new version 0.7 or IRIS Software Platform, PRIME devices manager

After hard months of working and after analyzing the results on production of IRIS 0.6, the new release of our IRIS Software Platform have been recently launched. This new version is an important qualitative leap of our PRIME platform, including lots of new functionality and improving current features of previous version.

It's a challenge to offer a platform focues on the easy management of devices that are really complex to manage.

With this new version, IRIS 0.7 is ready to implement correctly what we call operation routines with the metering devices of small, medium and big size utilities companies.

Very briefly, below are described most important new features and improvements in this new release; very soon, this new version will be updated in our customers that currently are using successfully our platform.

  • Easy an eficient management of hundreds, thousands and hundred of thousands devices organizing them in collecions.
  • Devices reports, new feature by which an user can pull out reports with static or calculated properties of the devices.
  • Platform portal, entry point of the user interface; from there the user can navigate to the devices manager user interface, integration configurations or system configuration.
  • Better and improved graphs, in IRIS 0.7 all graphs (such as stats evolution, PLC status, etc.) have been revamped with new graphs libraries; in the new graphs, the user can zoom specific areas, download a file image of the graph, etc.
  • New dynamic dashboard, new dashboard where the user can take a glance of the current status of the system.
  • Firmware upgrade paths for massive updates: with a very easy configuration, the user can choose with devices to update from a specific version to another; IRIS performs this task smartly and smoothly in the background so that this process doesn't affect the normal operation of the system.
  • Exportation plans: all automatic reports generated by the system (daily values reports, etc.) can be exported according to the user configuration: to a specific and shared files folders, FTP server o a mail address. This is one of the mecanism provided by IRIS for integration of the system with 3rd party software of the utility.
  • General view of the meters of a data concentrador with their last PLC status; in the same view the user can check which ones are active and which ones are currently inactive.
  • Geolocalization: the meter of a data concentrator can be shown in a Google Map according with their last PLC status; this feature helps the user to resolve PLC problems.
  • Hundreds of internal improvements and optimizations.
  • Extension tasks can now be launched from the user interface; by doing this, every new functionality not included in the core of the system by default, can be integrated with the system.
  • Implemented all reports and orders defined by Prime Alliance for WAN versions 3.0, 3.1 and 3.1c of the data concentrators.
  • Improvements in the user interface security.
  • IRIS 0.7 manages correctly meters included in the black lists (also called intruders lists) of the data concentrators.
  • IRIS 0.7 shows the coupling meters that are being PLC coupled from one data concentrator to another, resolving and improving the management of those meters.
  • Group orders, the user chooses the set of devices and with one click sends and order or request a report; the system performs that action to all devices selected.
  • Better managemente of WAN versions 3.0, 3.1 and 3.1c of the data concentrators.
  • IRIS 0.7 accepts zipped files from data concentrators, reducing significantly the bandwidth needed by a data concentrator to report information to the STG.
  • With IRIS 0.7, the reading routes for those non reachable meters are reported and calculated as a trivial task.
  • Improved significantly the ability of IRIS to be deployed within Azure, cloud computing platform of Microsoft.
  • PLC800 of Circutor vendor has been integrated with IRIS 0.7 using the technology of virtual gateways, unique in the market and developed by Telecontrol STM.

With all these features and more, IRIS 0.7 Platform is the only one in the marked renowned officially by Prime Alliance and the unique platform oriented for the operation of final users.

With IRIS 0.7, the final user doesn't need to manage any device from data concentrator user interface: IRIS is the only tool to manage all metering devices of the utility company.

IRIS 0.7 Platform we'll be shown in Utility Week 2013, Amsterdam, where Telecontrol STM will be present as an exhibitor in 1.D44 booth, beside Prime Aliancce one.

See you there!
