The Department of Electrical Protections Systems has designed a multi test rack for protection relays from main manufacturers, deployed in substations of main utility companies.

With the help of this device every possible situation is simulated in different circuits (switchgear states, analog inputs, digital inputs, etc ...) in order to minimize both intervention times and downtime on client installation.

From the begining of 2013 to the the present day, the protection relays have been replaced in most installations of Madrid and Castilla la Mancha (Spain), all with satisfactory results.

The managers of The Department of Electrical Protections Systems says: “The downtime on client installation has been significantly diminished, thus reducing loss of market by the distributor”.
