Interlocks functionality test, in local operation systems, for Gas Natural Fenosa

Currently, in our northern delegation of Telecontrol STM, functional tests of SOAL interlocks "(Local Operating System Substation)" are performed, for electric control on switches, in all electrical substations in the central area of Gas Natural Fenosa .

The tests are developed in our laboratory, in an advanced simulation environment where Telvent and SAC manufacturers equipment, installed in GNF substations, are tested.

The most significant tasks to perform during the tests and trials are:

  • Configuration of the simulation environment (ICUs, SOAL simulators RTUs), adapted to the installation to be tested, with databases provided by the customer.
  • Chronological, alarms, associated texts, electric controls exempt from interlocks tests, and single-line graphical representations parks each of the positions of the substation.
  • Test of restrictive actions of electrical controls from the SOAL "Interlock" substation. Verification of each test by simulation environment, and verification of logical formulas applied in each case.
  • Provision of reports and documentation of tests according to established format to Gas Natural Fenosa.

About 250 substations are in the scope of this project. Currently, a third of them have been tested. The scheduled execution time is 18 months.
