Telecontrol STM has been awarded a new contract to deploy fiber optic equipment in order to create communication rings between transformation centres for the SMARTGRID project, following the needs of UFINET TELECOM during 2015.

To perform this tasks, switches will be installed in the transformation centres, together with routers and switches at the electrical substations of the utility company.

The communication rings of the transformation centres where in the scope of this deployment will consist of an electric substation as header and an average of 6 transformation centres per ring.

The project scope includes the following tasks:

• Initial stakeout in transformation centres and Sub stations.
• Installation of switches in transformation centres and Sub stations.
• Installation of routers in Sub stations.
• Communications analysis and test.

The works will take place on the area of electrical distribution of Gas Natural Fenosa in Spain (Madrid, Castilla La Mancha, Castilla León and Galicia).
