Recently, Telecontrol STM has been contracted to install and take advantage of IRIS Software Platform by the utility located at Ceuta (Spain), called Group Empresa de Alumbrado Público de Ceuta; this utility provides of electricity to the whole city. When the meters deployment completes, 32.000 meters, providing service for about 85.000 residents of the city, will be managed with IRIS efficiently, maximizing the performance of the devices and the low voltage network.

This new customer gets added to all utilities that are trusting in IRIS Software Platform for taking advantage of their AMI infrastructure, both CIDE and Aseme association members.

Ceuta utility decided clearly to use our platform IRIS to manage the heart and core of its business. Such as Telecontrol STM has demonstrated with many other customers, will do our best so that the satisfaction level, support and the performance of the system are highest as posible.

But, why this utility of the city of Ceuta has choosen IRIS Software Platform? We think that these are the main reasons:

• Because of the integration capabilities of IRIS. Our platform has been design from the ground up for easy integration with the other utilities software systems (billing, secondary data concentrator, custom reports, adquisition of devices properties for their configuration, etc.). These capabilities are one the main features of our platform ahead any other option in the market.
• Due to the maturity of the platform: IRIS is up & running in production for more than three years; during this time, the development team has pick up lots of feedback directly from our custormers that finally much of them has been incorporated to the core of the product, improving it and providing in this way a product closer to customers needs.
• Because the excellent post sale services that Telecontrol STM and projects engineers provides. We do our best in the training of our customers and at the same time we help them with meters or data concentrators incidencies, problems with communications, etc. By doing so, we provide our expierence with other customers and our team working in the Linter interoperability lab of Union Fenosa Distribución.
• Because all features in IRIS for detecting and aisolate PLC problems with the devices (geolocalizacion, historical stats for active and inactive meters, visual topology tree and much more).
• Futhermore, because Telecontrol STM is regular member of Prime Alliance since more than two years ago; this allow us to develop and work in a software platform for managing devices with PRIME technology. If a company is not a member of Prime Alliance, can not develop software againt PRIME devices, introducing uncertainty in the products they provide.
• For the easy of IRIS user interface (productiviy and operation oriented), because of the ability of the system to be deployed at the cloud and much much more.

In this way, we are pleased to indicate that IRIS is getting the state-of-the-art and the standar de-facto as a software platform and tools suite to manage PRIME devices at Spain; last IRIS contracts during last month (and increasing) demonstrate that we provide the right platform that the market needs.
