New version of PRIME Smart Metering Platform, Iris 0.7.4
As usual, each new version of Iris aims to make the managing of devices easier in daily operations. So, besides the bugs corrections and internal improvements, we have developed the following features:
- New stats about consumption of gateways: one of most interesting news of this version is the adding stats about the traffic that each gateway are enduring, so is easier to find what gateway is either overloaded or underloaded. This information is very useful to improve the network through balancing the charge in order to be as more efficient as possible.
- Visual improvement of file content: the information cointained in files which the gateways send to Iris, are shown in a readable and sorted way, making easier the daily operations.
- More control about the meter tariffs: Iris grants a whole management over the number of tariffs that a meter can has (up to six) and the contracted power for each of them. In other words, we can assign to a single meter four tariffs (by example) and every tariff with its own maximum power.
- The meters relationed with important task (connections, disconnections and max power changes) are shown: we know that these kind of operations are the most delicated, thus, Iris grants a detailed information, aside from which tasks are been successful or not, showing which devices are involved in each type of task.
- Improvements in charts for incremental stats: the incremental stats are those that show a information which is not accumulated over time but every day starts from zero like the daily and hourly billings and number of files generated. So, Iris has the option for showing a value per day in order to get more comprehension of these charts.
- Improvement in legibility over information provided by CAS: if user wants more information about a task, he can always goes to 'more information' window where detailed data are shown. Now, this window includes descriptive messages about the state of task that gateway's CAS services provide us.
- Changes in stat of PLC network: the chart of PLC state of meters of a single gateway shows now the information related on last 24 hours like the chart in dashboard, getting more coherence in the system.
