Iris includes a new feature: obtaining fraudulent events

One of the main problems of the analog devices is their relative ease of handling system; with consequent weakness when falsifying their readings.

Certainly the appearance of digital devices changes this situation radically due to the control over these devices in a telematic way, that is, at the distance. The continuous measurement of these meters makes it possible to detect patterns in consumption and thus, to detect possible changes that can be suspicious.

This analysis is useful for the utilities but, What if you do not need to wait for this study? What if we could know as soon as possible these malicious manipulations? This is not science-fiction, this is possible thanks to "smart" meters, which are based on the PRIME technology, sending very helpful information about what is happening at the same time of the device handling.

Therefore, STM Telecontrol, following the continuous search for excellence, is going to include the obtaining of these events likely to be fraudulent in the next version of Iris. And, as always, makes it only a click.

Fraudulent events

Under the slightest suspicion that one of our devices is being manipulated, we just enter into its gateway interface and ask for the fraudulent events. And nothing more. Iris is responsible for providing, in a fully readable way, every events that may be susceptible to fraud with a short description of each, as we can seen in the picture.

We are confident that with this functionality joined to own analysis of data from meters, Telecontrol STM, through Iris, will help curb to fraudsters.
