The first Business Entrepreneurship Congress of Andalucía, held on 14 and 15 November 2013, has awarded to Telecontrol STM the third prize for best Business Entrepreneurship project under the concept of "Technological Innovations in TeleManagement of PRIME Meter Devices" by its Management Platform and MDM IRIS.

With this award are recognised the innovative features that make IRIS as a unique product in market and supports the strength with which IRIS is being deployed in many utilities for smart management of their PRIME electric meters. This is due to a efficient use of these devices and it allowing the correct management of low tension networks.

So, the fundamental features for which the management and MDM platform, IRIS, has been awarded, were as follows:

• Platform that it is able to adapt to utilities with millions of meter devices and, at the same time, with small and medium sized companies with thousands or ten of thousands.
• Deployment of the platform in the cloud through Microsoft Azure, where Telecontrol STM keep many clients in a consolidated way, with absolute satisfaction and success. With this type of deployment, IRIS allows to provide more hardware in those moments of massive data and reduce it in the operation time windows through a efficient use of infrastucture, minimizing the environmental cost. Likewise, IRIS can also be deployed in local servers ("on premises").
• Architecture of the platform fully scalable through roles and hardware.
• Selling model based on SASS (Software As Services) with monthly or semesterly fees, preventing that a client can be captive under a only provider and, in the same time, this it forces to our company keep on improving.
• Technology to maximize the obtain of daily and hourly billings (load profile), getting a performance unique in the market.

In summary, with this award is recognised the technical excellence in a platform that allows to manage the low tension network with the smart meters in a efficient way.
