Iris integrates gateways with 3.1 version

Iris Platform 0.6 integrates PRIME gateways which incorporate revisions to the interface specification 3.1 for DC-STG, called 3.1c.

The Ormazábal gateway which implements 0.5.6 version communicates to STG following the clarifications and interface enhancements 3.1c.

It is foreseeable that in the near future all providers generate firmware versions following specification 3.1c. Logically, if the STG that manages those devices are not integrated nor prepared for this new version of the interface, the client can not update it on their gateways with loss of performance improvements.

Iris Platform 0.6 (and soon 0.7), incorporates the ability to speak with this revision, being fully backwards compatible with 3.1 and 3.0. Thus, Iris is the only STG in the market which is able to interoperate in a transparent way with all the models and gateway manufacturers in their different WAN versions, 3.0, 3.1 and 3.1c.

Following the design philosophy of the Iris Platform, the end user is completely isolated from this kind of device’s internal characteristics, offering functionality through Iris in a transparent way.
